In accordance with the analysis of the functioning of the production complex of thermal pretreatment of steel-teeming ladle, an adaptive three-dimensional predictive model of ladle drying process and high-temperature heating with an open torch has been worked out. It is proposed to use a pulse heating mode for ladles to save fuel. In terms of this model, it has been researched the influence of the parameters of the heating cycle and has been defined their optimal values, which ensure the maximum efficiency of the pulsed mode in comparison with the continuous one. The analysis of the technological process of rolling on the broad-strip mill 1680 was performed in the work. The development of the adjusting method of the sheet mill for rolling with minimal energy costs has been carried out. An energy criterion for adjusting the compression mode was stated. According to the criterion, we obtain the formulas of the strip thickness at the output of the broad-strip mill stands, which ensure the minimization of the rolling energy. The generalized principles and control methods of the production complex of setting up the speed mode of rolling are stated, and the development of the algorithm and the model of the adjustment and control system for rolling on the broad-strip mill has been carried out. The developed control system model allows to check the compression mode and high-speed rolling mode before adjusting the rolling mill. The analysis of production on rail and large-scale mills was carried out in the work. The algorithm and computer model of the measured and normal lengths formation in the absence of a random component and with the change in the accuracy of the adjustment for the size of the stock material and finished steel have been worked out. It showed that at significant length fluctuations of mill products the extreme value of the maximum of the measured lengths is blurred, and the value of the rolled thickness, which provides a maximum of specific cut lengths, cannot be distinguished. For the study of automatic control system of length of hot-rolled breakdown in a hot rolling mill, computer models that reflect the process of metal shaping during the rolling of a section with c-channel type 16P have been created. On the basis of experimental data, the main factors that affect the length of the finished steel such as the length of the input blank and the rolling temperature have been analyzed. The size of the roll gap was selected as a regulatory influence. The simulation results show that during modeling the rolling of the c-channel section, the regulating allows to bring the roll length to the preset length and to reduce the range of oscillations of the finished steel.
