The work is dedicated to the use of plasma-arc process features thermal and gas-dynamic characteristics of plasma jets for high-efficiency heating and spraying refractory conductive material in the form of rods and wires that serve as an electrode in order to obtain coatings with high wear resistance, high set of physical and mechanical properties and powders with a certain shape and size of the particles. The idea by setting patterns of interaction arc plasma and high-temperature gas jets of material samorozpylyuyuchyh electrodes with refractory materials based on the study of the processes of heating, melting and forming droplets, dispersed particles using physical and mathematical models of heat and experimental results of studies of the structure and properties of surface coatings and obtained powders.
