Research work of the department was directed at solving of the urgent problems of history and social science education in secondary school in Ukraine, development of manuals and guidelines of social science methods for secondary school. The major achievements of the current year included the basic formulation of the theory of competency-based education of History and Science of Law at secondary school, the definition of historical and legal competences. The main results of the research topic are reflected in the prepared parts of manuals manuscripts, scientific articles and essays, in speeches at conferences, seminars according to individual plans of department employees.
