Moreover, the independence of enterprises in establishing key performance goals for the future, identifying ways to achieve them led to the growing importance of the functions of strategic planning. In terms of the dynamism of the environment necessitates the use of the concept of strategic development, which allows to create adaptive mechanism of the enterprise to market conditions, change. Today on transformation processes in Ukraine's economy determined the changes in business philosophy, behavior of economic entities, changes in the management system. But the questions of development of the strategy have not taken the proper place in the activities of enterprises. In this regard, the relevance of the study lies in the fact that the reform of Ukraine's economy and the orientation of domestic economic entities on the efficient functioning in terms of structural changes require constant revision of the foundations of economic management mechanism, as well as comprehensive structural transformation of the national economy in General and the transformation of the economic structure of individual industries, regions and enterprises. Today, the domestic economic system especially requires a clear mechanism for the formation of economic development strategies, since the period of structural transformation, the market immediately becomes the main regulator of economic activities. Conducted comprehensive system analysis of the mechanisms of formation of strategy of development of economic entities allowed based on the definition of the theoretical principles and the basic principles of strategic management, to generate the algorithm of strategic management. Special attention is paid to the assessment tools identification of a number of strategic alternatives in an unstable environment.
