The project goal is the design and the practical implementation of the hardware and software complex for UAV guidance. This complex consists of the program package for the operational planning of the complicated flight paths, which are determined by the actual flight mission, and the hardware and software means for their optimal path following in conditions of the stochastic disturbances (the turbulent wind), taking in account the flight dynamics of the concrete UAV. The theoretical background and the scientific research methods: the control systems robust optimization taking into account the stochastic disturbances; the theory and methods of the flight paths following in the turbulent atmosphere; the theoretical background and principles of the micromechanical technology for the inertial measurement unit design; the experiment planning theory; the modular approach for the navigation, guidance and control equipment. It was improved the method of the UAV optimal path planning based on the given waypoints (WP), which allows to compute all parameters, which determine the closed Dubins path in a case, when all WP's of this path belong to the convex set, and to compute these parameters in the more complicated case, when all WP's of this closed path belong to the non-convex set. It was developed the method of the UAV optimal path following in the disturbed atmosphere based on the turbulent wind Dryden model usage as the main stochastic disturbance, which is acting on the UAV during the flight process. It was proposed the method of this model incorporation into the complete model of the UAV stochastic dynamics for the application of the parametrical GCS robust optimization. It was developed the new design technology of the UAV optimal path following systems based on the aforementioned theoretical background. The experimental specimen of the GCS was created, in which the proposed optimization and data processing methods were implemented. The results of the performed experimental research in the flight conditions allow stating that created specimen is the effective and perspective national development. The results of this research project were implemented in the teaching process for students of the specialty 151 with the specialization "Computer-aided Control Systems and Automation" in the following disciplines: "Optimal Control Systems","The Moving Vehicles Orientation and Navigation Processes", "Data Processing in the Airborne Control Systems", " Fundamentals of the Flight Control Theory", "Aircraft Control Systems".
