Existing materials on iodine attack at a nuclear accident was investigated and methods of protection from external and internal ways of iodine in the human body have been worked out. The role of milk, meaning and methods of iodine prophylaxis was determined. Methods of protecting the population from exposure due to soil contamination by cesium and strontium were investigated.
