The purpose of research is to identify global factors influencing the development of coke production in Ukraine. The object of research is the trends in world and domestic metallurgy, coke and coking coal world market. Research methods are theoretical generalizations, axiomatic, analysis, synthesis, scenario approach. The global trends in the world and Ukrainian steel industry as a major consumer of coke are studied and summarized. The current state, trends and structural changes in the Ukrainian coking industry are reviewed. The tendencies of providing raw coke production in the world and in Ukraine are investigated. Considered and evaluated the impact of internal and external factors on the development of the coke industry. The prospects of coke production in Ukraine are defined.
