The study aimed at a comprehensive, multi-faceted study of Romance, Germanic (English, German, French) and Slavic (Ukrainian, Russian) languages in order to develop theoretical foundations and to distinguish a methodological apparatus for conducting research into the linguistic essence of communicative, cognitive and linguistic-cultural aspects of the leading European languages based on fiction, scientific, educational, legal, socio-economic, political-ideological, philosophical discourses. The practical realization of research on this topic concerned the creation of world-class scientific and educational works, the dictionaries, the latest scientific and educational programs, etc., which reflect the urgent trends in the development of the studied languages.
