The scientific principles of the formation of content of pedagogical disciplines in higher educational establishments of Ukraine during the second half of the XX - beginning of the XXI century were investigated the concept of vocational and pedagogical training of specialists in higher educational institutions of Ukraine is substantiated; The principles of qualitative updating of the contents of pedagogical disciplines in higher educational institutions of Ukraine and the stages, trends of the formation of content of pedagogical disciplines, and the evolution of this content during the defined period are determined. The means of designing the contents of pedagogical disciplines in modern universities of Ukraine concerning the volume and quality of the offered information, orientation towards development and upbringing and reflection of this content of its components have been developed, the factors of introduction of modern information technologies in the universities of Ukraine have been revealed.
