The purpose of the research is to develop and apply in the empirical research methodology for monitoring the system of quantitative and qualitative parameters of student life in the context of reforming higher education in Ukraine, for example, students of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Research methods: standardized questionnaire survey of students; student group focus study; semi-standard online graduate survey (using the Google Forms resource). A theoretical interpretation of the concept of "student life" was made. The system of basic parameters of student life and their empirical indicators have been developed. Based on the model of student participation by Alexander Astin, a method for studying student life has been developed, which is based on the input parameters: (characteristics of the student at the beginning of studying at higher educational institutions); the process of studying a student in an institution of higher learning, which in our study is described using the system of parameters of student life; Output parameters (the result of studying at universities). An empirical study was conducted on the basis of which the state and problems of student life are outlined on the example of students of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. An empirical study was devoted to the identification of a professional portrait of graduates of the Taras Shevchenko National University. On the basis of the obtained data, a report was prepared for the university management structures, the results of which can be used to solve the problem of optimizing the system of management of the university life and improving the educational environment in higher educational institutions. The obtained data on the attitude of students to reforms in higher education can be used by state and local government education authorities as well as educational NGOs to facilitate the adaptation of students to reforms in the higher education system of Ukraine. The results of the study deepen the scientific understanding of categorical parameters, which reveal the state and problems of student life in the context of reforming the system of higher education in Ukraine. From the economic point of view, monitoring of student life and its methodological improvement in the future of expanding the boundaries of its use (inter-Vyshiv, regional, interregional cooperation) provides scientific and practical assessment of the effectiveness of the reforms introduced by the state.5481 Product Description popup.authors Л.Ю.
