The algorithms and methods for the analysis of the interaction of optical waves with surface and periodic structures have been developed. The spatial, temporal and energy conditions under which plasmon and waveguide resonances are realized, as well as the resonance of surface plasmon-polaritons are determined. The methods of analysis of spectral and near-field characteristics of the optical response of metal, dielectric and composite nanoparticles, nanoshells and their ensembles are developed. The interaction of optical waves with periodic arrays of nanowires has been researched for the design of nanoplasmonic microlasers.5481
