Different combinations of such common clinical risk factors for the occurrence of diabetes as obesity, pathological increase in body weight in the first trimester of pregnancy, burden of inheritance from type 2 diabetes increase the probability of occurrences of this disease from 3.5 to 15 times. Development of the GD is associated with the genotype 10109 G / G of the PNPLA3 gene, in which the risk of the disease increases 7.5 times. Genetic features of women with the disease of classes A1 and A2 have been determined. Long-term, uncontrolled hyperglycaemia, as evidenced by an increase in HbA1c, and endothelial dysfunction with a violation of the correlation between presonic and depressant, aggregative and antiplatelet biologically active substances, plays a significant role in the development of complications of pregnancy and fetal and newborn in women with diabetes mellitus. Different types of disorders of metabolic processes in pregnant women with diabetes lead to hormonal and hemodynamic changes in the uterus-placental-fetal complex. In the presence of distress and diabetic fetopathia, significant changes in the blood flow in the aorta, the middle cerebral artery, the baseline of CMA, renal arteries, and violations of the processes of myocardial relaxation in the fetus have been observed. Such changes in hemodynamics in the fetus as increased velocity of blood flow in the venous duct, in the mitral and tricuspid valve, hypertrophy of the myocardium make it possible to predict disturbances from the cardiovascular and nervous system in the newborn. A number of indicators (clinical, biochemical, radioimmunoassay, immunoenzymatic, dopplerometric) have been proposed to predict GD and its complications, as well as to conduct preclinical diagnostics of fetal and newborn conditions in women with this disease. Treatment and prevention measures to improve maternal and childbirth termination of pregnancy in patients with diabetes mellitus have been pathogenetically developed and proved to be effective. Proposal for revision of official documents on the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus in Ukraine according to world recommendations was made aimed at early detection of the disease and its timely treatment. The results of the work can be used in providing medical care to pregnant women in obstetric institutions of Ukraine. Based on the research materials 10 articles have been published, 12 reports have been presented at the scientific forums of Ukraine, 3 patents for utility model have been received.
