The subject of the research is the methodological and methodological bases of the context of higher education as conditions for personal, regional and international security in the border region. The aim of the project is to conceptualize and empirically substantiate the socio-humanitarian and international security phenomenon within the post-non-classical scientific paradigm and to reflect in the content and methods of teaching in higher education institutions in enhancing the personal safety of citizens, territorial communities and the country as a whole. Research methods: theoretical (generalization and systematization of scientific sources on the research problem); empirical (observation, conversation, content analysis, diagnostic techniques, survey methods, group focused interviews, peer review method). Proposed for the first time: the conceptualization of socio-humanitarian risks in a border multicultural environment based on the model of individual, regional and international security in a multicultural region, and a system of methodological approaches to the optimization of the educational process was developed. Based on a unified program for assessing and monitoring social risks and security factors of ethnocultural border regions of Ukraine, the essence and content of the social risks system of the educational environment of border regions were substantiated. The results of research were implemented in scientific works (individual and collective monographs, sections of books, articles, abstracts of teaching materials, etc.) by the authors of the research and training courses in subjects taught for students of the humanitarian profile of ONU named after I.I. Mechnikov. The obtained scientific results can become a methodological and methodological basis for further studies of the development of classical universities in the border regions of different countries in search of new organizational and functional forms and models of cooperation of the classical university in the training of personnel in the border region that can provide personal, regional and national security.
