The scientific approaches to strategic management of enterprises innovative development are systematized. The strategic prospects of innovative development of small business enterprises in rural areas are determined. A model for generating an innovative development strategy was constructed. A system of indicators for assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of innovations and innovative changes in enterprises (including restaurants) has been developed. A comparative analysis of various scientific approaches to the classification of innovations is conducted. The peculiarities of social innovations are considered in detail, its classification is carried out and the influence on the development of enterprises is described. According to the results of determination of the innovative potential level, intellectual capital, SWOT-analysis, questionnaire survey, financial and economic reporting, methodical recommendations for strategic management of innovative development of the restaurant industry enterprise on the basis of the "Wave" sanatorium-dispensary have been developed.
