The object of study: 109 patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), including 53 ionizing radiation (IR) exposed patients due to Chornobyl NPP catastrophe (the main group), and 56 IR non-exposed CLL patients (the group of comparison). Methods: polymerase chain reaction, direct sequencing of reaction products, clinical, statistical. The main results:it was proposed the method for detection of rs2124594 polymorphism in non-coding region of 8q24 chromosome as surrogate marker of rs2456449 polymorphism, associated with CLL risk..The association of polymorphic variants (positioned at 127180736 and 127183014 on 8q24 chromosome) with CLL risk was confirmed. In carriers of C allele of rs2124594 Odds ratio (OR) was 2.37; 95 % confidence interval (CI) = 1.50 - 3.73. C allele of rs2124594 was associated with negative prognostic factors at CLL diagnosis, and TT genotype was associated with increased risk of solid tumors (OR = 2.65; 95 % CI = 1.08 - 6.54). GG genotype of rs2124594 was associated with increased risk of solid tumors опухолей (OR = 3.78; 95 % CI = 1.53 - 9.37). No other associations of rs6983267 genotypes with clinical parameters of CLLpatients were found. Modifyed influence of IR on realization of genetic predisposition due to rs2124594 and rs6983267 was not revealed. Publications: 3 papers, the patent application.
