The preconditions for the formation of the economic system of Ukraine, the effectiveness of its mechanisms, the world experience of the establishment of effective economic systems and the directions of transformation of the economic system of Ukraine in the conditions of globalization are grounded. The objective and subjective preconditions for formation and development of the economic system of Ukraine, institutional peculiarities of management of its various sectors are revealed, the estimations of the efficiency of monetary and fiscal regulation of the domestic economy are presented, the constraints inherent in the individual components of the market mechanism are substantiated. The results of the research can be used in preparing the normative base for regulation of activity of economic subjects of Ukraine and in the substantiation of the directions of national economic policy.
