The development of variants of a constructive solution for narrow-gauge cars of the new generation provided for improvement of their consumer properties and technical and economic parameters. At the same time, the following criteria are taken into account, which provide for increasing the efficiency of rolling stock: - compliance with all current normative documents of the customer and forecasts of economic development during the appointed term of service; ease of use, maintenance of cargoes, possibilities of mechanization of loading and unloading; - Significant improvement of performance (load capacity) compared with the best available prototypes; - reduction of the specific metal capacity per unit of load-carrying capacity, body volume and floor area; - ecological safety, possibility of utilization after the expiration of the appointed service life, prevention of loss of cargo due to the volatility of the bodies and due to weathering from the open surface. - increase the service life of the main parts and rolling stock units by at least 1.5 times, thanks to the use of high-strength steels and developed original technologies for the repair of worn parts during repair due to increased mechanical properties of the surface. - reduction of bunkers of freight cars in operation due to the reduction of the amount of rolling stock in the current unscheduled repair from 3,5 to 0,3 times a year, due to the use of modern welding technologies and reduction of residual deformations of welding joints.
