The object of the research is the development of production of deep processing of valuable wood assortments in Ukraine. Subject of research - the mechanism of raw materials supply of enterprises of the woodworking industry of Ukraine. The first chapter analyzes the dynamics of the woodworking industry and the segment of production of valuable wood products, in particular, in Ukraine during 2014-2018. The second section analyzes the perspectives of the Ukrainian woodworking industry in the conditions of preserving the regulatory vacuum on the domestic timber market. The third section outlines the scenario forecast for the prospects for the development of the market for scarce timber in Ukraine. The fourth section reveals the promising economic and legal principles of functioning of the market of scarce timber in Ukraine.
