It is shown that the main changes caused by a shift of the layers are due to removing the degeneracy of energies of the electronic states. The dynamics removing the degeneracy of electronic states is established, which makes it possible to uniquely identify them for time moments of removing the degeneracy of these states. On the basis of these results, an original method for determination of the spectral components of light is proposed. Such method can be a basis for development of radio-technical analyzers of spectral composition of light without using dispersion elements. The results of studies of the effect of uniaxial pressure (p||c) on the optical properties of GaSe and Tl2S layered semiconductors made it possible to verify the applicability of a new physical mechanism for the formation of the optical absorption edge in indirect-gap semiconductors. The results obtained make it possible to confidently propose the use of this model for analyzing the optical properties of other semiconductors in which the fundamental absorption edge forms several types of indirect optical transitions. Such a model can also be effectively used as a technique for determining the optical band gap in indirect-gap semiconductors. This will make it possible to analyze the dynamics of the change in the width of the forbidden band of a semiconductor in the case of influence of various external factors, for example, pressure, on it.
