A quantitative evaluation of expression levels of b-tubulin, celulose-synthase and chitinase-like genes of flax fiber (Linum usitatissimum L.) and flax-leucine (L. crepitans Dum.) Was carried out. The greatest interspecific differences in the levels of gene expression were found in the tissues of the hypocotyl, the smallest in the leaves. The revealed tissue-specific features of expression of b-tubulin genes and chitinase-like genes can be related to the peculiarities of formation and deposition of cellulose fibers in the flax stalk.
