The activity of metaloproteinases MMP2 and MMP9, level of galectin-3 and free DNA level in 32 patients with ACS and HIBS, including 7 against hypertension, which underwent successful primary or planned revascularization, was evaluated. All the studies were carried out in the dynamics at fixed periods of hospital and post-hospital periods. It was found that the changes in the activation of proteolysis and the level of the profibrotic marker galectin-3 carry additional clinical information that is the basis for effective long-term therapy with the development of individual measures aimed at either inhibiting proteolysis activity or inhibiting fibrosis and preventing further adverse cardiovascular events after revascularization.
