Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The data of the empirical research, which together with the results of the theoretical analysis, allowed to formulate the concept of axiological determination of the formation of a gifted personality and to reveal a number of regularities, are generalized: 1) the typological originality of a gifted person is formed in the process of satisfaction of their basic needs (social, cognitive and creative, existential) and fixed in personal values; 2) the axiological determination of the formation of a gifted personality is a two-stage process, which consists of situational and axiological determination (the stage of formation) and personal and axiological self-regulation (the stage of self-development). 3) situational and axiological determination of the formation of a gifted personality is carried out in the process of personal and axiological interaction with referential persons. 4) axiological self-development of a gifted person is regulated by subjective values and consists of several stages: 1) axiological imitation of reference persons and development of abilities in the senior preschool and junior school age; 2) accumulation of valuable experience in interaction with a wide range of reference persons in adolescence; 3) axiological self-determination, which is based on a high self-esteem in the space of their own estimative constructs, - in adolescence; 4) axiological distinctive character of adult gifted people, which is based on axiological autonomy and manifested in certain types of vital activity.
