The purpose of the study was to study the frequency of lateral ventricle meningiomas in the structure of primary tumors of the lateral ventricles in a number of institutions of Ukraine, to identify features of the clinical course, and to improve the diagnosis and optimize the results of surgical treatment, taking into account the access and technology of their removal. Methods of investigation - surgical methods of tumor removal, pathomorphological diagnosis of tumors, neurological evaluation of patients' condition. The algorithm of choice of surgical access is developed. It is shown that the results of surgical treatment are influenced by the size of the tumor, their localization, the adequacy of surgical access, the duration of the operation, the multiplicity of meningiomas, the presence of systemic (neurofibromatosis) and other concomitant diseases. For anterior localization, there is anterior transcortical access option. In the MBZ of the zone of the triangle and the hindquarters, several accesses are used: temporal, upper parietal and occipital trans-cortical accesses. Access optimization is an important link that influences the outcome of treatment. The features of localization, clinical manifestations and diagnosis of lateral ventricle meningia in the structure of the primary and secondary meningiomatosis of the ventricular system, as well as in connection with neurofibromatosis of the second type, have been studied. The proposed algorithm for the stage of conducting surgical interventions in such patients. Examples of clinical observations of these rare cases of MBBS are presented.
