Object of study. The report on state budget research work of the Department of Informatics is a complex of research works of various fields of activity, so each section has its research objects. The purpose of the work is the use of information technologies in scientific research and in informatization of the educational process and in various fields of ice activities. The research method is theoretical and experimental research on the use of information technologies. This is a mathematical computer simulation of the processes of solid state physics and in the field of metallurgy, and the use of IT for image processing and for strategic management of business processes, etc. All research and development can be divided into following general directions: the use of information technologies in the management of the educational process, in metallurgy, solid-state physics studies, and in the business sector. The variety of topics in the section of the report does not allow to summarize the results of each work in the abstract. These results are presented in separate sections.
