Text as a linguistic phenomenon primarily acts as a unit of communication, a component of discursive speech, defines the strategies and tactics of communicants, provides a process of knowledge. Due to the text, the aesthetics of speech is realized, in this aspect it is the subject of ligngvo poetics. However, the most important function of the text is its procedurality as a component of discourse as a process and product of communication. In this sense, the text becomes the subject of psycholinguistics and linguistics, which is reflected in the concepts of language education in Ukraine, the State standard of basic and full secondary school, in the practice of teachers of the VSN and teachers of secondary schools. Analysis of the linguistic characteristics of the text from the point of view of their functional and communicative characteristics indicates that one of the functions of lexical units is to use them as a reference. On the basis of the analysis of the actual material, we have identified the following forms of appeal in English and Ukrainian languages: addressing the name and surname; forms of appeal related to family relationships; cuddly and friendly forms of appeal; polite appeals dictated by the language ethicet; application - nomination by profession or position; appeals, realized by personal pronouns of the second person; appeals, implemented by nouns with semantic transposition and occasional. Borrowing lexical units in the process of intercultural communication is a result of knowing the reality and developing the ethnic culture due to cultural and linguistic contacts with other peoples. The history of borrowing - is the history of cultural relations of the ethnic group in the cycle of centuries. Intercultural communication contributes to the dynamics of language, and the main role in this play the representatives of language societies. In order for the language to penetrate as the largest borrowing, a very high degree of intensity of interlanguage contacts is required. In the process of intercultural communication, a certain percentage of reported information is lost, which is due to the fact that in the functioning of the part of the borrowed lexical units will enter the language, and some will remain on the periphery. The department also conducted studies related to the teaching methods of foreign languages. According to the results of the analysis it was determined that one of the modern methods of teaching foreign languages ??is a case-method, which is a way of forming a professional communicative competence among students. Using the case-method in teaching a foreign language first, gives students an excellent opportunity to work with real problem situations (cases), and secondly, it affects the professionalization of students, promotes their growth, creates interest and positive motivation for learning, and thirdly, promotes the use of authentic foreign language material and, fourthly, implements the ability to communicate in a foreign language. All this makes case studies one of the most effective techniques for the formation of professional communication skills in a foreign language, and, consequently, an effective way of implementing the professional training of students. Distance learning involves a flexible combination of independent cognitive activity of students with different sources of information, training materials, specially developed on the course. Moreover, the effectiveness of any kind of training at a distance depends on the effective organization and methodological quality of the materials used, as well as on the leadership, the skill of the teachers involved in this process. Researchers particularly note that the use of information technology in distance learning provides virtually unlimited opportunities in the placement, storage, processing and delivery of information for any distance and any volume and content. In these conditions, when it organizes the system of distance learning, its pedagogical and informative organization comes to the fore. It is meant not only the selection of material for assimilation, but also its structural organization. The prospect of the study is seen in the further analysis of linguistic units in the discursive aspect.
