The consequences of the "chemical (green) revolution" and the "genetic revolution" on the processes of sustainability of food supply are systematically disclosed. The reasons for increasing the level of monopolization of the agro-food market are determined. It is proved that the benefits of widespread introduction of genetic technologies into agriculture are obtained, first of all, by individual countries - in practice, the natural barrier to the spread of these technologies is private ownership of the results of biotechnological research. The reasons of uneven development of both world and domestic agro-food market, and the emergence of disproportions that hinder the tendencies of sustainable food supply, are established. The features of modification of agricultural products and filling of the agrarian market as a result of "chemical (green) revolution" and "genetic revolution" are determined. The specifics of the division of the agro-food system into three types of technological systems and the differentiation of the agrarian market into three segments are established: the market of traditional, genetically modified and organic products. The principal differences in the system of organizational and economic relations of enterprises - producers of traditional, genetically modified and organic products are revealed. New directions of commodity innovations on the basis of genetically modified and organic raw materials are substantiated, many of which will determine the development of the agro-food market in Ukraine for the coming decades.
