Therefore, failure of the engine can lead to a violation of the technological process, equipment malfunction, additional costs for restoration and repair. After carrying out repair work, the parameters of asynchronous motors may differ from the initial ones specified by the manufacturer. The electromagnetic parameters of an asynchronous motor are necessary to estimate the energy losses, operating and initial characteristics that determine the machine's passport after engine repair. An analysis was made of the existing diagnostic methods for which unifying indicators were determined, on the basis of which the methods were divided into separate groups. Most of the methods considered have both their own advantages and disadvantages, in particular those that are related to the direction of the method for determining certain parameters of the electric motor or errors in calculations, with the current development of technology are unacceptable. Several separate methods were considered, calculations were made, and one of the most optimal and suitable for the purpose of the work was chosen for further research.
