Results of the research: the hypothesis that methodically and scientifically substantiated purposeful application of network complexes and multimedia resources in the educational process is proved to be an effective means of activating students' educational and cognitive activity in the system of distance education. It promotes the formation of their basic subject-sectoral competencies, development of skills for preconception and research work. It is concluded that distance learning is adaptive to the basic level of knowledge and specific learning objectives, whose subjects have the opportunity to carry out joint training activities in a convenient place according to the pre-agreed form and an individual schedule for time interaction.
