Admission of immigrants with different ethnic, racial or religious characteristics creates difficulties for the education sector, as education provides knowledge, forms of relations and acts as an important means of social integration. In societies where immigrants live, schools must offer good programs and services that are tailored to the specific needs of immigrants. Education for immigrants should include a number of functions that help them overcome educational distances, cultural and language barriers, social isolation. The problem of education for a group of "motivated migrants" is gaining ground because the corresponding level of education and education is key to addressing the social problems of migrants (say, job creation) and building tolerant relationships in the Ukrainian multiethnic society. Problems of education in this context are also relevant to the diversity of ethnic immigrant backgrounds and traditions in this area, inherent in their countries of origin. The migration situation in Ukraine is compounded by the fact that as a result of hostilities in the Donbas, a contingent of domestic migrants and refugees (more than a million people) was formed in Ukraine. Latvia is also becoming more attractive to foreign citizens, both from the European Union and from other countries that wish to stay there on a temporary or permanent basis. The increase in the number of migrants is noticeable in all groups: among foreigners who have family ties in Latvia, study here, work here, make investments or seek refuge. Newcomers are more likely to migrate families who need to provide opportunities for education by offering existing educational programs or developing new ones addressed to them.
