The mappings with finite distortion are studied in Euclidean spaces and Finsler manifolds by using modulus methods. The homeomorphisms of the Sobolev class with a critical exponent were studied. Their connections with ring and lower Q-homeomorphisms are established. We investigate the clasters of pretangent spaces at infinity. The connection between ball-preserving mappings of ultrametric spaces and the embedddings of their representing trees is established. We introduce and investigate the ordinal spaces that in some sense are generalizations of semi-metric spaces.
