The purpose of the work is to create a technology for fermentation of sugar containing plant raw materials with the use of reduced pressure for the release of volatile biofuel components, which promotes the increase of productivity and economy of resources. The methods of the investigation are generally accepted and special microbiological, chemical, gas chromatographic methods of volatile components research of alcohol distillates, technological, analytical, and mathematical methods with the use of modern devices and computer technologies. Obtained results and novelty are as follows. According to the results of the search, no patents were found in Ukraine, the subject of which was the technology of microorganism fermentation under application of vacuum conditions to the medium. It was established that the most perspective is the use of periodic vacuuming with short-term heating of the medium and the level of vacuum sufficient for its boiling at this temperature. This allows the concentration of ethanol in the medium to be kept at 4% - 5% vol., which does not significantly inhibit the productivity of industrial strains of yeast and enables to provide nutrients with the subsequent transition to a continuous cultivation process. The resulting distillate with strength of 28% - 34% vol. needs less energy costs to further its dehydration. The initial technological data for creation of fermentation under the reduced pressure technology are received. The scope of application is enterprises of agro-industrial and fuel-energy complexes.
