Komisarenko Institute of Endocrynology and Metabolism of the National Academy of Medical Science of Ukraine" popup.description2 Object of study:endocrinopathies in children and adolescence. Purpose: improvement of diagnostic methods, differential diagnosis and treatment of short stature, hypothalamic dysfunction, comorbid conditions in type 1 diabetes mellitus based on the study of clinical, biochemical, hormonal, genetic features of endocrinopathies; prophylaxis of cardiovascular diseases in the background of somatotropic insufficiency in young people. Research methods and equipment to: clinical, anthropometric, biochemical, serological, immuno-enzymatic, spectrometric, radioimmunological, genetic (sexual chromatin, karyotype) and molecular genetic (mutation of D112G in the gene of GD), instrumental, statistical.Theoretyc and practical novelty: The axis of the growth hormone / insulin-like growth factor-1 has been studied, indications and efficacy of growth hormone therapy have been identified in children born with intrauterine growth retardation; A comprehensive study of the micronutrient state in children and adolescents with different low-growth forms was conducted and a close correlation between zinc level and insulin-like growth factor-1 was determined. The criteria for cardiovascular risk in persons of post-paternal age and young adults with somatotropic insufficiency, which arose in childhood, were established.Modern diagnostic and differential diagnostics schemes and effective low-density treatment schemes are proposed. The molecular genetic features of the biologically inactive growth hormone syndrome are given. The phenotype of patients with a syndrome of a biologically inactive growth hormone is described. Clinical laboratory and differential diagnostics of this pathology are shown. The use of the sensitivity test to the growth hormone in patients with the above pathology for confirmation of the diagnosis and for the appointment of adequate somatotropic therapy has been proved. The content of grelin and leptin in children and adolescents with varying degrees of obesity against the background of hypothalamic dysfunction was investigated. The peculiarities of the clinical course are studied and the tactic of observation of patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus with the accompanying diseases is proposed.Endocrinology.
