The purpose - the creation of a fundamentally new genetic and breeding material of the spring, and especially the winter hull-less barley of the food direction of the use of spinous two-row and seamless morphotypes. Results: іt was founded that the two-rowed barley morphotypes either hulled or naked have advantages over six-rowed ones in the number of seminal roots as well as some other germinating seed characters. It was proved the possibility of overcoming of negative barley influence on the gluten physical properties in wheat+barley flour mixing. Some hull-less advanced lines were not considerably less or equal to hulled ones in grain yield. By analyses of genetic variants of lipoxygenase the monomorphism of collection of barley varieties by allele gene state Lox-1 and absence of non-active allele loxA was determined. The samples with potentially medium activity and thermal stability of beta-amylase were selected. It was studied the allelic state of the Bmy1, Lox-1 and Wax genes coding of several key enzymes determining of the nutritional barley grain value. It was founded that wheat genes which were integrated in barley genome and encode the high-molecular-weight glutenin D1x5 and D1у10 subunits localized in the different barley chromosomes and had independent inheritance. The biotechnological analysis of modern barley varieties of national and foreign origin for the presence of valuable SE-ve genotypes was done. Genetic control of the grain is carried out by one dominant or two dominant genes with complementary effect of inter-allelic interaction. The grain blue coloration is controlled by one dominant or two dominant genes with complementary effect of inter-allelic interaction. Introduction: variety of winter hull-less barley Kriks was transferred to the State Variety Trial. Scope of application: research institutes of NAAS of Ukraine, agrarian and industrial complex.
