The work is devoted to the study of the therapeutic effect of the introduction of human umbilical cord MSC with enhanced expression of the interleukin-10 anti-inflammatory cytokine and stem cell factor (SDF-1?), which provides for the homing of the recipient's MSC, as well as concerns the cryopreservation of native and transfected cells. Genetic constructs that carry the genes of the therapeutic proteins IL-10 and SDF-1? have been constructed, high expression of the target proteins has been shown after the MSC culture transfection with them. It has been shown that the transplantation of transiently transfected MSCs in various pathologies is significantly more effective compared to non-transfected cells and is the same with the simultaneous introduction of MSCs with a recombinant protein. Concerning the instability of the latter, the use of modified MSCs can significantly increase the effectiveness of treatment. A cryopreservant has been selected for long-term storage of MSCs containing a significantly lower concentration of potentially dangerous DMSO, which significantly increases the safety of therapy with frozen cell. The possibility of cryopreservation of transfected MSCs with partial preservation of the synthesis of the target therapeutic protein by them is shown
