It was established that the heating rate during the spark plasma sintering (SPS) affects on the kinetics of sealing, structure formation and physical and mechanical properties of disperse-hardened metal-matrix composites (MMC). For powders of Ti - Al - C and Fe - Ti - C systems the heating rate should be not more than 10 °C/s, for powders of the Fe-Ti-С-B system it should be at least 20°С/s. In this case, the time of isothermal exposure at 1100°C should be no more than 3 minutes. This allows obtaining the MMC of the Ti - Al - C and Fe - Ti - C (B) systems with high values of hardness, dynamic strength, wear resistance and heat resistance. Nanolaminate-composites Ti3AlC2-TiC obtained from a powder charge processed in a volume-distributed multi-layer discharges has the highest values of heat resistance among the considered MMC. The operating modes were determined and the electric circuits and the design of block power supply elements with high output current were developed to provide a programmable operating mode for the consolidation of MMC. Technological recommendations for obtaining MMC depending on composite components content were provided. The possibility of using Ti-Al-C materials as analogues of alloys based on intermetallic Ti3Al ("alpha-2", 57% Ti + 25% Al + 17% Nb + 1% Mo) and TiAl ("gamma", 50.8% Ti + 45% Al + 1% Nb + 2.5% Cr + 0.2% B + 0.5% Ta), and the Fe-Ti-C (B) system is analogous to tungsten-containing steels of the R6M5 ("P6M5") type.
