Purpose: in theoretical and methodological substantiation and empirical research of psychological peculiarities of the personal growth of a teacher, a psychologist in the context of the differential psychological approach and the study of those multilevel personality traits that contain psychological resources, the potential of personal growth of the future professional. Methods of research and psychodiagnostic techniques: In the work the system of research methods is used, which includes: - theoretical methods - system analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization and interpretation of literary sources and theoretical approaches to the chosen problem, available in psychology and related sciences; - empirical methods (observation, questioning, content analysis of self-report questionnaires, testing, expert evaluations); - mathematical and statistical methods (correlation, factor analysis, comparison of average values by the Student t-criterion, using the computer program of statistical data processing SPSS 17.0 for Windows) and qualitative analysis (content analysis of self-reports, the method of "aces" and "profiles"). The phenomenon of "personal growth" of the future professional (psychologist, teacher) has been conceptualized: for the first time the understanding of personal growth from the point of view of the continual hierarchical approach was grounded: as a psychic phenomenon having its multilevel structure (formal-dynamic, semantic-personal, normative- imperative levels) and as a logical psychodynamic process (continuous development and change of personality and each of its qualities). The changes take place both within each level in complex, integrated interaction of all elements (horizontal changes) and in the interaction of different levels with each other - each component, "sprouting in a continuum" from lower levels to higher varies, transforms (changes in the vertical ); - it has been established that personal growth is a holistic, multidimensional, conscious process of self-development, self-design, self-change, self-actualization, self-realization of the personality as an open system, the mode of existence of which can be only motion, dynamics, life; - general psychological determinants of personal growth (emotionality, gender, age, experience, etc.) have been revealed; psychological factors contributing to personal growth and its success (emotional intelligence, facilitivity, tolerance, empathy, adaptability, communicability, sociability, etc.) and those that block it (jealousy, propensity to conflicts, experience of psychological crisis, developed propensity to adventure, etc.) have been defined; - composition of components of the various levels of the personality structure, reflecting the personal growth resources of the future professional, have been explicated, described and studied; - on the basis of the differential-psychological analysis of empirical data obtained, the main individual and psychological peculiarities of future specialists which show a tendency to personal growth of various degrees, have been defined; - individual and typological features of personality, resources, means of self-regulation, self-actualization, overcoming (coping) behavior which promote personal growth of the future specialist, have been revealed. Theoretical and practical results: Modern theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of the peculiarities of the personal growth of a psychologist, a teacher have been defined; a theoretical model of resources, potential of personal growth of the future professional have been created; internal factors of personal growth of the future psychologist, teacher and determinants of its success have been determined. A set of new original author's techniques (13 copyright certificates) has been created, standardized and tested for the study of various levels of personality properties that contain the potential for personal growth of a future professional, their standardization and testing have been carried out. On the basis of psychodiagnostic data received psychological technologies and programs aimed at correction and development of personal growth resources of the future psychologist, teacher, corresponding to the peculiarities of modern psychological science and practice (in connection with the updating of the content of education, in connection with social changes, associated with the redesign of the professional structure of society) have been developed. Practical significance. The results can be used by specialists in the field of psychology of higher education, the theory and methodology of vocational education for the further development of psycho-pedagogical research, as well as in the educational process within the university.
