Purpose of this work was to find out the factors that have influence on the formation of the low-temperature properties of the luminescence of Li2MoO4 and ZnSe crystals and provide a fundamental basis for the growth of effective cryogenic scintillation materials based on these crystals. In order to fulfil the scientific tasks of the scientific work, a series of samples of Li2MoO4 and ZnSe crystals have been grown under different synthesis conditions, experimental studies of optical, luminescent and scintillation properties of these crystals have been performed. Calculations of the electronic band structure of Li2MoO4 and ZnSe crystals containing defects, in particular cationic and anionic vacancies, ali-valent substitution impurities, and their combinations were made. According to the electronic structures, ionization energy of point defects and their combinations are calculated, the influence of these defects on the conductivity of the crystals and the processes of the transfer of scintillation excitation is determined. The most important features of the transformation of scintillation excitation energy were identified in the work. It was also determined the composition and structure of luminescent luminescent centers in Li2MoO4 and ZnSe crystals, as well as recommendations for increasing the efficiency of scintillation materials based on these crystals were provided.
