The following researches were carried out: the hydrographic zoning of Ukraine justified the choice of representative pools and sub-basins to establish their energy potential; the analysis and spatio-temporal generalization of hydrometeorological information concerning observation points in the basins of the rivers of Ukraine are carried out; Climate change (precipitation and temperature) is estimated and summarized based on meteorological observations in the territory of Ukraine; a check on the homogeneity of the data of hydrological observations and generalized elements of the hydrological regime of the rivers of Ukraine; the fluctuations of the river flow in the conditions of climatic changes are established on the materials of the analysis of difference integral curves of fluctuations of minimum, average and maximum annual water consumption and average values of atmospheric precipitation. In addition, the basis of an extended GIS project of river basins of Ukraine, with base layers and attributive information (hydrography, water catchment areas, hydrometeorological network), will be used, which will be used for calculations of a wide range of hydrological and hydropower parameters of watercourses (water flow rate, hydropower power), as well as for the mapping of the results. The database of vector data on the hydrographic network is collected, including rivers of Ukraine with an area of ??catchment of more than 100 km2.
