CVS should work with limited computing power of the onboard computing unit, therefore the main task is to create a solution method that can be implemented by the algorithm of the smallest computational complexity. The method uses informative features of images for comparing heterogeneous types of input data, the choice of which is carried out on the basis of the analysis performed earlier in the framework of this scientific work. The object of research is the method of determining the parameters of the relative position and orientation of an object of known geometry from its image. The results of research: 1. A general scheme has been developed for solving the problem of determining the relative position and orientation of an USC of a given geometry, including procedures whose execution can be significantly accelerated using machine learning methods. 2. Implemented an algorithm for constructing and searching for the nearest node using a binary tree. A numerical simulation was carried out, which confirmed the possibility of using the proposed approach in the CVS.
