The definition of the economic essence of the category "market integration" as a system of economic mechanisms aimed at the coordination of economic interests of economic entities of a certain (relevant) market within the logistic chain is proposed. The theoretical substantiation of the functional essence of market integration, which consists in the effective division of objects of integration, is realized by means of integration mechanisms, which are realized in accordance with a certain hierarchy and methodical approach with the target choice of such mechanisms. The list and subjective and material structure of the integration mechanisms of commodity markets are determined, which consists of the subject and the object component, which represents the material part of the production resources, to which the integration mechanisms are applied. The methodical approach to the choice of target integration mechanisms for the development of commodity markets is proposed, which is based on the criteria for determining: the purpose, expected results and effective capacity of the mechanism.
