A comprehensive scientific research has been carried out, the result of which is the development of methodological approaches, mathematical models and methods for determining the most rational ways of moving the rolling stock from the wide Ukrainian track 1520 mm to the European track of 1435 mm for provide transit traffic. New methods for assessing the dynamic and strength qualities of wagons with regard to operating conditions are created. New technical solutions for improving the designs of wagons, their knots and their main components with the use of computer simulation with the help of the software complex are developed.
