The object of research - physical, physico-chemical, thermodynamic, hydraulic and mechanical processes which occur in a diesel engine and a continuously variable transmission and determine the energy, economic, ecological and dynamic parameters of the tank power plant. The purpose of the project - to develop the concept of formation characteristics and basic energy, economic, environmental and dynamic parameters of perspective tank power plant with a diesel engine capacity up to 1300 kW and hydrostatic mechanical continuously variable transmission based on the complex approach to the determination features of physical-chemical, thermodynamic, hydraulic and mechanical processes.Methods of research - theoretical and experimental, which provide implementation of systematic multidisciplinary approach to improve the designs and systems of tank power plants, new workflow with air supply adjustment, and the creation of a new hydrostatic mechanical continuously variable transmission. Relevance of the research related to ensuring the creation of high-powered diesel engine capacity of 1100 ... 1300 kW and continuously variable transmissions for the domestic armored vehicles. Based on the analysis of domestic and international experience providing advanced characteristics and performance of tank power plants proposed complex interdisciplinary research aimed at improving the capacity, profitability and ecological compatibility of a tank diesel when used there controlled turbocharged, electronically controlled fuel injection equipment and substantial upgrading in shaping parameters and workflow features.
