Software implementation of sub-gradient algorithms (r-algorithm modifications, Polar step algorithms and space transformation, the ellipsoid method) was developed. Their efficiency was investigated in solving special optimization problems (packing of homotic ellipsoids in a parallelepiped of minimal volume, synthesis of multilayered optical systems, finding defects in regular and periodic 3D structures). The developed programs can be used as optimization kernels for solving applied problems.
