popup.description2
The object of the research - a big city as a special social space. The purpose of the work is to identify the features of socialization of the individual under the influence of social institutions and the social environment in a urbanized society, to reveal the specificity of modern urban identity, for example, of the city of Dnipro. Methods of research - sociological survey, document analysis. Theoretical and methodological principles of research of personality and social institutes in urban society are developed. It has been established that cities have always been influenced by a large number of cultural, social, political, environmental and economic factors that are now being exacerbated by the processes of globalization, massive internal and external migration, the activation of public protest movements and the democratization of political life, the rapid development of information and communication technologies and media . It is revealed that significant changes in the urban identity, which quickly lose their significance in the hierarchical structure of the territorial (spatial) identity, are fixed in the central-eastern Ukraine, with the national identity being put forward on the foreground. The research results are implemented in the educational process of the Oles Gonchar Dnieper National University, in particular, in teaching such disciplines as "General Theoretical Sociology", "Sociology of the City", "Methodology and Programming of Sociological Studies", "Qualitative Methods in Sociology", "Survey Methods in" sociology "," Sociology of personality "," Social structure of society "," Social forecasting "," Socio-political riskology"," Sociology of politics "," Electoral sociology "," Sociology of public opinion "," Organization of work of sociological service "," Sociology of leisure and entertainment "," Social and cultural modes of today's transformation processes "," Sociology of Culture ".
