The purpose of the work is to improve the education process and practical training of high school military students. Research methods - methods of system analysis. The results of the analysis of advanced systems of creation of virtual and mixed reality for the provision of a virtual environment and its integration into the education process and training of students of higher military educational institutions are presented. The analysis of the current state of the virtual environment for the training of servicemen is carried out. The research of possible directions of improvement of the training process for students through the use the virtual learning environment has been carried out. Requirements for the software and equipment used in the training simulation environment are developed. The proposals on the organization and structure of the training simulation center are given.5481
