Description

Object of research: structural changes of the retina and optic disc in conditions of progression of high axial myopia. The purpose of the work: to increase the efficiency of diagnosis of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the eye by developing new diagnostic criteria for morphological changes of the eyeball layers according to the optical coherent tomography-angiography. Methods of research: general-clinical, spectral optical coherent tomography, statistical. A mathematical model has been developed for predicting damage of ganglion cells axons at the level of the lamina cribrosa as a result of its deformation in glaucoma optic neuropathy. The characteristic of the symptom complex of morphometric changes of the macula, optic nerve disc and choroid is given according to SS-OCT-angiography in patients with rapidly progressive axial myopia.
