The object of study of this project is the cross border region Ukraine-Poland. The aim of the project is to develop a coherent strategy for the spatial development of regions adjacent to the Ukrainian-Polish border; Increasing the level of competitiveness of the border regions, aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of border areas, local communities, and individual settlements. This report is the result of Phase 2 of the project and addresses the following issues: - development of a scheme of transport infrastructure of the border region in conjunction with the development of international transport corridors defined by the General Planning Scheme of the territory of Ukraine and international spatial development programs; - identification of optimal locations for new border crossing points - assessment of the environmental status of the border region and identification of key measures for its protection; - development of a project statement on determining the scope of the strategic environmental assessment of the project.5481
