The object of the research is the financial and economic background of the Ukrainian insurance market development. The goal of the report is to substantiate the conceptual framework and develop methodological provisions and recommendations concerning the development of the Ukrainian insurance market in the context of sustainable development. Methods of research: general theoretical methods of scientific knowledge, fundamental essentials of general economic theory, general scientific methods of research, economic and statistical, economic and mathematical methods, etc. The conceptual principles of the insurance market financial security in the context of sustainable development are substantiated, the features of formation and management of risks in the context of principles of financially stable functioning of insurance companies are investigated, the reinsurance market and its parameters are investigated, the methodical approach of the balanced insurance portfolio is developed through reinsurance operations. Capital management policy of the insurance company is investigated. The theoretical bases of financial risks insurance at the stock market are discussed. The research results are implemented into the educational process of Sumy State University.
