 Presented are the results of mathematical modelling of residual technological stresses in baffle and in-vessel barrel after welding and heat treatment in process of manufacture, different existing models of radiation swelling for steel 08Kh18N10T, from which elements of internals are produced. A comparative analysis was carried out using the results of prediction of radiation swelling in process of long-term operation up to 60 years by different models. Substantiation is provided for selection of efficient method for calculated prediction of stressed state and progressive forming if internals’ elements taking into account the processes of radiation swelling and creep and investigations have been carried out on peculiarities of different lives and their sequence on nature of distribution and maximum value of radiation swelling as well as on stressed state in the baffle after long-term operation. Considering residual technological stresses the evaluation of brittle fracture resistance of the baffle has been performed for checking the conditions of structure reliability on criteria of brittle fracture resistance.
