The approbation of the method for diagnosing personal factors in the development of intellectual talent of senior pupils has been completed. The questionnaire included a statement reflecting aspects of the behavior that is typical for potentially gifted children, as well as the behavioral characteristics of children with low cognitive activity and insufficient educational and creative performance. Four factors are highlighted: Supersituative activity, creative dysfunctionality, conformism - independence, rationality - intuition. It is established that intellectually gifted high school students who are prone to research activities demonstrate a significantly higher Supersituative activity. Openness to experience, curiosity, willingness to experiment, high cognitive activity, healthy perfectionism, and enthusiasm in solving complex problems are inherent in the students. They demonstrate significantly significant creative performance, have adequate self-esteem, are marked by personal independence (lack of conformity), determination, initiative, perseverance in achieving the goal, risk appetite, tolerance for uncertainty, self-sufficiency, desire to be guided by its own system of evaluation criteria. They are characterized by self-acceptance and self-respect, a sense of their value, spontaneity in the manifestations of feelings and thoughts, the desire for personal and creative self-realization. It is proved that intellectually gifted high school students who are prone to research activities are much more likely to rely on rational-logical reasoning, facts and common sense in a situation of choice (decision making) compared to student general.
